As Christmas approaches, the city takes on a truly special atmosphere. Every year, the town center comes alive with a magnificent Christmas tree, festive lights, an ice-skating rink, and the “Village of Taste”, where visitors can warm up with mulled wine, hot chocolate, and a variety of delicacies while strolling through the decorated streets. Children can meet Santa Claus in his village, while the evocative Sand Nativity Scene — one of Lignano’s most beloved traditions — comes to life on the beach.
